Hi, I'm Dan Metcalf, hence my domain name, danmphoto.com.

I've been shooting for a relatively short time, since June of 2005, so I'm certainly no pro, but I enjoy photography enough to better my skills and get more electronic goodies.

My original interest was macro photography, especially insects, arachnids and other crawly things.

I don't want to limit myself as an artist to one discipline of photography, so I'm continually expanding my skills in many areas; landscapes, people, animals, etc.

What started out as a simple hobby with a budget point and shoot camera has turned into... a hobby gone crazy. Just ask my wife.
